Kapuso Comedian-TV host Paolo Contis proudly flaunted the impressive ratings achieved by the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ compared to its rival noontime programs.

In an Instagram story on July 4, Contis shared the ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey showing ‘Eat Bulaga!’s’ significant rating boost of 0.7 percent from its Saturday, July 1 rating, in contrast to E.A.T.’s decrease of 2.1 percent and 1.0 percent for ‘It’s Showtime.’
He captioned it, “Battle of noontime shows…Fight, Fight, Fight (praying emoji).”

On Monday, July 3, the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ soared to 3.3 percent, while TVJ’s E.A.T. and ‘It’s Showtime’ dropped to 6.3 percent and 3.0 percent, respectively.
Prior to E.A.T.’s launch on TV5 and It’s Showtime’s debut on GTV, Contis emphasized that the rebranded Eat Bulaga! is not aiming to compete with TVJ’s new show on TV5 or against ‘It’s Showtime.’
“Wala namang point na maglaban-laban, di ba? Kasi ang tao, manonood naman yan kung ano ang gusto nilang panoorin. At least ngayon, tatlo na yung choices nila. Ngayon, trabaho namin na mapilit at ma-convince yung tao na kami yung panoorin. At magagawa lang namin yun na ginagawa namin nang tama yung trabaho namin. It will be very very challenging…Mahirap tapatan yung 44 years na nakasanayan,” he said.
But it seemed the increase in their ratings got him so excited to flaunt their TV ratings vs. their competitors.
