On July 20, Concert Queen Pops Fernandez reacted to getting compared to Charo Santos-Concio and Mel Tiangco for hosting her upcoming TV5 anthology series, ‘For The Love.’
At the media conference for ‘For The Love,’ which LionhearTV covered, Fernandez remarked that she would bring a different version to the roster of anthology series hosts.

“Nako, iba naman siyempre si Ma’am Charo at si Ma’am Mel no. But, if it is a start, why not di ba? Baka ibang version naman mai–kumbaga ma-present ko for them naman.”
Fernandez would be hosting the upcoming TV5 romantic anthology series featuring various love teams and pairings, in which she would perform a song that fits the story of the characters presented in the episode.
As for her love life, Fernandez noted that she was not yet ready to get into a relationship but hoped to find a special someone in the future.
“Wala, wala talaga. There was a time siyempre na sad ka. Hindi naman madami, pero siyempre pag mas younger ka. I think mas needy ka. Tama ba ‘yung word ko? And hindi ka sure sa sarili mo, you need someone, I’m not saying I don’t need anyone. It would be nice to have an understanding, loving partner. Somebody who I can watch movies with, travel with, of course, why not?”
She then cited how she enjoys her life as a single woman.
“But right now, nag-eenjoy rin naman kasi ako doing my own thing. And I’m really taking advantage of that. Kasi, I get to spend a lot of time, although my kids are all grown up, and they’re in the U.S. I get to– I get to make my own decisions, I get to make my own schedules, so when I want to see my boys anytime. Hindi ako– kumbaga sa kailangan mag-isip na magpaalam and all that.”
As for ‘For The Love,’ the TV5 romantic anthology series includes 13 episodes featuring stars such as Marco Gallo, Heaven Peralejo, Jairus Aquino, Aubrey Caraan, and Bea Binene in their respective stories.
The upcoming kilig-filled anthology series hosted by Fernandez airs on July 29 via TV5.
