The issue surrounding the term “Fake Bulaga” has garnered attention, and former “Eat Bulaga!” host and current “E.A.T.” host, Tito Sotto III, has finally weighed in on the matter.

Paolo Contis, along with Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Isko Moreno, Alexa Miro, Kimpoy Feliciano, and others, are now part of the noontime show “E.A.T.” produced by TAPE, Inc., which is currently managed by the Jalosjos siblings.
Paolo Contis expressed his dismay at being labeled “Fake Bulaga,” emphasizing that their work and emotions on the show are genuine. He shared, “It is essential for me to know that what we are doing is authentic. Many people claim that we are fake, and they call us ‘Fake Bulaga.’ But there is nothing fake about my love for this group.”
In response to Paolo’s statement, Tito Sotto tweeted, “Then why not think of a new name?”

He went on to assert that TAPE Inc. has no right to celebrate 44 years as “Eat Bulaga” because the show only existed from 1981, and it was no longer the same show when the original hosts, TVJ, departed.
Tape inc has absolutely no right to celebrate 44 years. They existed only in 1981. They did not exist in 1979. EB ceased to be EB when TVJ left them.

The issue has now escalated to legal proceedings, with TVJ and TAPE, Inc. engaged in a copyright infringement battle over the title “Eat Bulaga!” TVJ, being the original hosts, filed the lawsuit against TAPE, Inc.
As the controversy continues, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold. The sentiments from both Paolo Contis and Tito Sotto reflect the passion and dedication they have for their respective shows. Fans and viewers await further developments and hope for an amicable resolution to this complex situation.
