On July 10, new Pinoy Pop Boy group BILIB member Yukito recounted how they came up with their PPOP Group name.
At the media launch of BILIB’s ‘Kabanata,’ which LionhearTV covered, Yukito cited that their name came from those who believed in them.
“Ito po siguro po ang pinaka simplest explanation that we can share with you is siyempre po ‘Bilib’ tagalized version po ng Believe. Una po kami pinagkatiwalaan ng AQ Prime, of course, ng Frontrow, and lahat po ng sumusuporta at nagmamahal sa amin ng mga pamilya namin, ng mga kaibigan, kaya po this name, has the best po for our group dahil po sa inyo na mga naniwala at nandito ngayon.”
He also discussed how they came up with their unique style as a PPOP group.
“‘Yun po, nabanggit din po ng aming management rin po na it’s a collective problem po, from our boss, from producers, from doon kung saan maganda mag-shoot, from stylist, make-up artist, lahat po ito, inupuan po namin sa isang table, so nakakatuwa po doon na even mga boss po namin sila, they really took the time to ask us for our inputs po. Kahit ano po, pinagtulungtulungan, kaya thankfully, naging mukhang expensive po.”
He then addressed how they plan to resolve the possibility of disbandment or one of them quitting the group.
“Kasi siyempre hindi po natin talaga maiiwasan ‘yung pagdi-disband or pagqui-quit ng mga members. But isa po sa comfortable na maipapangako at maisho-show namin sa inyo is that, tinuruan po kami ng management team namin which is family na rin po namin, to hold value po not only to us po, but sa lahat po ng ma-respeto namin each one.
“Kasi po, it takes two to tango lagi, so kapag may problema po namin as a group, ‘yun lang po ‘yung iniintindi namin, hindi rin po ba naapektuhan ‘yung management and vice versa po.”
BILIB members include YUKITO, ZIO, CARLO, RAFAEL, RC, JMAC, and CLYDE.
AQ Prime Music PPOP group also released their first single and music video titled ‘Kabanata.’
