On July 11, Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes expressed gratitude for the ratings of his GMA Network shows ‘Royal Blood’ and ‘Amazing Earth.’
At the media conference for the 5th-anniversary special of ‘Amazing Earth,’ Dantes highlighted his goal of expanding his audience through his two shows.
“Very, very grateful. Siyempre ang goal natin, mas maraming makapanood, mas okay. So magandang balita para sa amin ‘yun. Though magkaiba naman ang ginagawa ko sa Royal Blood, sa Royal Blood ako si Natoy, tapos ang mangyayari diyan ay magba-back-to-back ‘yan eh. Pagkatapos ng Royal Blood sa Friday, 9:35 PM biglang nandiyan na si Amazing Earth.”
According to AGB NIELSEN PHILS. NUTAM People in TV Homes ratings TOP OVERALL PROGRAMS, ‘Royal Blood’ registered a rating of 11.2 percent on July 14, while ‘Amazing Earth’ garnered 6.0 percent.
As for ‘Amazing Earth,’ Dantes detailed how his Kapuso informative show changed his mindset.
“Si Amazing Earth ay naging way of life ko na siya. Di lang dahil sa five years ko na siya ginagawa, it’s more of ‘yung mga learnings na naibigay niya sa akin in the span of five years.
“Pero more importantly, ‘yung five years na ‘yun, malaking milestone siya sa akin not just as a performer and storyteller, but also as a father and a husband.”
He maintained that the Kapuso show taught him to be a more responsible citizen of Earth.
“Kasi isipin mo mas matanda pa siya sa bunso ko. Doon pa lang after pa lang ng first child ko, ang dami ko ng learnings din. So napakalaki ng naitulong sa akin hindi lang ng Amazing Earth kung di pati lahat ng nangyari sa period na ‘to. But of course, it taught me how to be a more responsible citizen of this Earth.”
‘Royal Blood’ airs weeknights via GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, and iMovies at 8:50 PM and via GTV at 10:50 PM.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso informative show ‘Amazing Earth‘ celebrates its fifth anniversary with a three-part special that started on July 14, Friday, at 9:35 PM.
