Annette Gozon-Valdes, Senior Vice President of GMA Network and President and CEO of GMA Films, clarified that the Kapuso network currently has no available timeslot for Willie Revillame.
During an informal lunch conversation on August 16, as reported by Salve Asis in her article on PSN, Kapuso Executive Annette Gozon was questioned about the potential return of Willie Revillame to GMA Network. She explained that as of now, the network does not have any vacant timeslots.
“Kasi as of now, wala kaming available timeslot talaga. Kasi ‘di ba dati nandun siya sa slot before 24 Oras, magbabalik na ‘yung Family Feud. Binili na namin kasi ulit ‘yung franchise. As of now, wala talaga kaming available timeslot,” Annette explained.
Willie Revillame was associated with GMA Network for a span of seven years through his show ‘Wowowin.’ However, last year, he declined GMA Network’s contract renewal offer. At that time, he was already in negotiations with Manny Villar’s new network ALLTV.
He eventually moved his show to ALLTV, where he also played a consultative role, but this arrangement was short-lived due to issues within the network. Following his departure from ALLTV, Willie mentioned feeling relieved from a burden.
In July, reports circulated indicating that Willie Revillame might make a comeback on PTV.
