On July 2, celebrity couple Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli revealed details about their married life.
At the media event for ‘Sarah G Under The Sun,’ Guidicelli admitted that he would usually try and avoid washing the dishes while they are at home.
“Sa totoo lang, me, after eating. I walk up right away. I leave, and I go ahead. And then Sarah would go, ‘Love, Love samahan mo naman ako.’ Ako, ‘Sige, sige.’ So I walk up to the sink, and I pretend to wash one thing, and then, ‘Love, I have to check the ano ha.'”
Geronimo then explained that she would usually handle the dishes since she was the last to finish her meal.
“Ako po kasi ‘yung huling kumakain, kasi hindi po ako talaga mabilis matapos kumain.”
Geronimo then recounted when she realized she would marry Guidicelli after seeing the actor-host wash the dishes when they were still girlfriend-boyfriend.
“Hindi naman that I enjoy, siyempre ayaw mo naman maiwan ‘yung kasangkapan mo doon sa lababo di ba?
“Di pero po, may kwento ako na mag-boyfriend-girlfriend pa lang po kami noon na basta nakita ko siyang naghugas ng pinggan ng pinagkainan namin. Sabi ko, ‘Ay, baka ito na ‘yung maging asawa ko one day.’ Siya ‘yung taga-hugas ng pinggan.”
Aside from their fun reveal, Guidicelli proudly disclosed that the Pop Royalty is also an official baker.
“I’m very, very proud to say that Sarah is an official baker–like a chef.
“Yeah, but that’s still a certificate– she graduated from Heny Sison Culinary School.”
He also highlighted Geronimo’s culinary skills with pastries and dishes.
“So she makes a very good croissant, breads, everything. And she makes really good dinners, for lunch, because Sarah stopped eating meat ten years ago– since 2017. So she makes very, very good, like seafood dishes, tofu dishes.”
Geronimo sheepishly confessed that she would usually urge her husband to post an Instagram story of her dishes.
“Plant-based vegan noodles. Ganon. Tapos sabihin ko, ‘Mahal, I-IG story mo naman ‘yung niluto ko, para alam din nila na nagluluto din ako.”
The couple also narrated how Geronimo stored butter in the restroom.
“I [smelled] croissant and butter every day in the kitchen. Tapos sabi ko, ‘Uy ang bango niyan. Pero fail, fail, kasi the temperature kasi is ano. But one time in our bathroom, I smelled butter already in the banyo. Sabi ko bakit, ‘amoy butter ‘yung banyo.’ She was proofing inside the banyo, kasi it’s cooler,” Guidicelli shared.
“And it’s humid, tapos naka-aircon, pero ‘yun po, nilabas ko sa room, pero ayun, successful. Successful siya,” Geronimo explained.
Guidicelli and Geronimo began dating in 2014. The couple tied the knot in February 2020, before the pandemic lockdowns began.
As for the couple’s latest endorsement, Geronimo and Guidicellit top-bills Sun Life Philippines’ campaign presenting a thematic video underscoring the company’s promise of being a ‘Partner for Life.’
The couple also co-created the video with Sun Life, which shows how they support each other as life partners.
The video will be available via national television and on @SunLifePH through Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Aside from the thematic video, Geronimo also voiced Sun Life’s newest jingle, ‘Kasa-Kasama,’ with fellow Sun Life Ambassador Inigo Pascual who co-wrote the song. Currently, Sun Life Philippines has Geronimo, Guidicelli, Piolo Pascual, Inigo, and Donny Pangilinan as their ambassadors.
