Coleen Garcia has recently clarified that there is no animosity or “bad blood” between the Crawford family and the members of the popular show ‘It’s Showtime.’
She addressed these rumors during the Preview Ball 2023 Black Carpet event, responding to questions from members of the entertainment press.
Coleen acknowledged that during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her husband, Billy Crawford, had lost touch and connection with their friends, including their former ‘It’s Showtime’ family. She emphasized that it was a normal response to the pandemic, with many people choosing to keep their distance to prevent the spread of the virus.
According to Coleen, they experienced a natural drifting apart from their friends, making it challenging to maintain regular contact.
She explained that their interactions were not as frequent as before, saying, “We kind of drifted apart, it’s really hard to keep in touch naman talaga with everybody. I wouldn’t say it’s just the same as before na araw-araw kaming nagkikita… Ngayon, bihira ko na lang talaga silang makita.”
Coleen clarified that certain members of their circle, such as Jugs Jugueta and Kuya Kim, were not regularly attending events like the Preview Ball. This contributed to their reduced interactions.
“‘Di naman sila gaanong naga-attend [sa Preview Ball] like sina Jugs [Jugueta] or Kuya Kim. So hindi lang naman din sila talaga nakikita.”
Despite these changes, Coleen expressed her hope of reconnecting with her former ‘It’s Showtime’ family in the future. She mentioned that she was gradually resuming social activities and looking forward to seeing old friends again.
When questioned about rumored conflicts between her husband, Billy, and comedian Vice Ganda, Coleen suggested that direct inquiries be made to the individuals involved.
She stated, “Kung ano man ‘yun, sa kanila na ‘yun, mas okay na sila na lang ang tanungin niyo. Pero kung sa amin at sa kanila as a whole, as of now, wala naman.”
