In light of Liza Soberano’s recent reaction to an online news site’s article, Cristy Fermin has offered some advice to the actress, emphasizing the need for her to be prepared for potential comments and intrigues, especially if she ventures into the world of K-pop.
During the September 25 episode of ‘Cristy FerMinute,’ Fermin shared her words of caution regarding the matter.
Fermin pointed out that comments from Korean audiences can be even more intense and advised Liza to brace herself for them.
She remarked, “Mas matindi ang intrigahan at mga komento sa mga Koreano. Ang titindi nila mandaot. Grabe. Baka lalo kang mapikon doon.”
The incident that sparked this conversation was Liza Soberano’s response to an online news site’s negative headline regarding her ‘Hollywood dream.’ Liza expressed her disappointment on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, September 21, over the news report, which carried the headline: “Liza Soberano pinagtatawanan ng bashers.”
In her post, Liza questioned the journalistic ethics of the news site and its apparent focus on generating clicks and comments at the expense of a young woman’s dreams.
She asked, “What type of journalism is this @inquirerdotnet @banderaphl?? You guys are straight up shitting on a young woman’s dreams in the pursuit of clicks and comments. Don’t you guys have more important news to talk about??????”
Although the specific article was removed from X, it remains accessible on the news site and contained negative comments about Liza’s new online travel show titled ‘Liza in Korea’ and her aspirations to be a part of Hollywood.
