In the entertainment industry, even seasoned actors like Dennis Trillo can’t escape feelings of nervousness, especially when partnered with acclaimed actress Bea Alonzo.
Dennis Trillo recently confessed to these jitters during the yellow carpet premiere and grand media conference for their upcoming show, ‘Love Before Sunrise.’ This project marks a collaboration between the Viu streaming app and GMA Network.
Members of the entertainment press were eager to learn more about Dennis’s experience working alongside Bea, as this is their first time collaborating on a full-length teleserye.
Dennis candidly revealed that he felt extremely nervous on the first day of shooting with Bea. He admitted to being starstruck whenever they had scenes together. “Nu’ng first day, sobrang nerbiyos ko rin, sobrang kaba. Nasa-starstruck ako, e, everytime may eksena kami. Sa totoo lang,” Dennis shared.
Recognizing that his leading lady is a box office queen, Dennis made a concerted effort to excel in their scenes. “Kaya pag nasa taping ako, itsi-check ko ang breakdown kung gaano karami ang eksena namin ni Bea. Ibig sabihin, talagang kailangan kong galingan du’n sa mga eksenang ’yon dahil, s’yempre, Bea Alonzo…box office queen,” he explained.
In return, Bea complimented Dennis’s acting skills, stating, “Magaling kaya s’ya lagi,” while pointing to her leading man.
Dennis also shared that he had seen Bea’s films and shows, which made him appreciate her talent as a drama actress. “Nakaka-pressure talagang ka-eksena s’ya. Napakagaling din. Ilang pelikula rin ’yong napanood ko at mga shows n’ya. Nakakakaba ’yong experience,” Dennis noted.
Despite the initial nervousness, Dennis expressed that they eventually found their rhythm and camaraderie on set, making their working relationship comfortable and enjoyable.
When asked about his own “what if” scenario in life, particularly in the realm of love, Dennis provided a thoughtful response. “Sa buhay pag-ibig… masyadong seryoso tayo kung buhay pag-ibig, e. Ang hirap kasi pag may ‘what if’ ka. Para kang may pagsisisi sa buhay, e, na hindi mo nagawa,” he mused.
However, Dennis clarified that his “what if” scenario would not relate to his love life but rather his sexuality. “Ako siguro, hindi ako masyado maka-relate kaya siguro ang ‘what if’ ko ay what if kung naging bading ako sa totoong buhay,” he boldly stated.

His candid response elicited laughter and applause from those present at the media conference. Dennis humorously added, “Ang saya siguro nu’n, ’di ba? Ang landi ko sigurong bakla. Ang dami ko sigurong boyfriends.”
Bea joined in on the fun, commenting, “Nabubuhay ’yong ‘Husband’s Lover’ harap-harapan,” referring to the top-rated 2013 TV show ‘My Husband’s Lover,’ in which Dennis played a leading role alongside the former couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana.
‘Love Before Sunrise,’ starring Dennis Trillo and Bea Alonzo, along with Jackie Lou Blanco, Ricky Davao, Andrea Torres, Sid Lucero, and more, will be available on the Viu streaming app starting September 23, and it will premiere on GMA Telebabad on September 25.
