After weeks of waiting, the biggest jackpot prize yet of the well-loved segment of the Kapamilya noontime, is finally won, today, September 19.
A lucky winner has finally won the jackpot prize on Isip Bata. The biggest yet awarded by any non-talent segment of the noontime show since ABS-CBN shutdown, the ₱750,000 prize will be taken home by Nanay Ruby, who was just lucky enough to be spotted by the roving ‘Tagaha-cute’ who happened to be looking for today’s studio contestants in their area, that day.
A nerve-wracking final question moment unfolded during the last few minutes leading ti the grand reveal, as the Madlang pipol waited both anxiously and excitedly whether Batang Cute-po Argus and Nanay Ruby’s answers matched. And they did! Both answered ‘Yung nakakapagbango ng hininga (the type that freshens the breath)” to the question, “Anong klaseng toothpaste ang gustong ginagamit ng mga bata (What type of toothpaste do kids prefer to use)?
“Ate Ruby, ‘yang 750,000 mo, ilang araw, ilang linggo, ilang buwan nating inipon dito sa Isip Bata. Hindi siya madaling makuha, ” Vice reminded Ate Ruby who said she would spend the prize for her child’s tertiary education.
“Tuwing naglalaro kami ng Isip Bata, hinahayaan namin ang tadhana na siya ang mamili kung sino ang larapat dapat” added Vice Ganda, underscoring how the producers and hosts of the show waited patiently for the most deserving player to come.
“Nagte-thank you talaga ako kasi pang-tuition talaga ito ng anak ko, kasi single mom ako at walang trabaho, ” a tearful Nanay Ruby revealed.
Other than Nanay Ruby, another lucky contestant also got lucky for winning ₱108,000 on the segment, Rampanalo, bringing the total of the cash prizes given out by the noontime show today, to nearly a million pesos.
