In support of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela (BE) program, SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) participated in a series of school maintenance activities in the municipalities of Ramon, Isabela and Alfonso Lista in Ifugao

SNAP-Magat provided electrical fixtures and wirings, galvanized iron sheets, roof and wall repainting materials to Ambatali Elementary School and Gen. Aguinaldo Elementary School in Ramon, Isabela, and Sto. Domingo Elementary School in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao; while Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo National High School in Ramon, Isabela received solar panels earlier this year that the company will supervise during the installation.

In addition to providing materials and taking part in the school environment’s cleanup, SNAP-Magat’s licensed electricians, engineers, and I.T. experts repaired electrical wiring, desktop computers, and appliances to make classrooms safe, clean, well-lit and ventilated.

SNAP-Magat has been a long-time supporter of DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela, which helps prepare public schools for the start of the school year. SNAP-Magat supports Brigada Eskwela because it aligns with the company’s values of giving back to the community, particularly in education. The company believes that investing in youth education is the key to a brighter future.

Ambatali Elementary School management and teaching staff in Ramon, Isabela, received painting materials from SNAP-Magat for the Brigada Eskwela 2023.
SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) is a joint venture of Scatec and Aboitiz Power Corporation (AP).

Scatec is a leading renewable energy solutions provider, accelerating access to reliable and affordable clean energy in emerging markets. As a long-term player, they develop, build, own and operate renewable energy plants, with 4.6 GW in operation and under construction across four continents today.

They are committed to growing their renewable energy capacity, delivered by their 800 passionate employees and partners who are driven by a common vision of ‘Improving our Future’. Scatec is headquartered in Oslo, Norway and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ‘SCATC’.

AP is the holding company of the Philippines-based Aboitiz Group’s investments in power generation, distribution, and retail electricity services.

It advances business and communities by providing reliable and ample power supply at a reasonable and competitive price, and with the least adverse effects on the environment and host communities.

SNAP-Magat owns and operates the Magat hydroelectric power plant which has a nameplate capacity of 360 MW and maximum capacity of 388 MW on the border of Isabela and Ifugao; and the 8.5-MW Maris hydro in Isabela.

The non-power components such as dams, reservoirs, and spillways are owned, managed, and operated by the government.
