The teaser for the comeback movie of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano was officially released on Monday, February 17, instantly sending fans into a frenzy.
The film, titled ‘Tayo sa Wakas’, marks a fresh and more mature chapter for the DonBelle love team. It is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on May 27.
The teaser opens with the pair briefly revisiting their well-loved characters — Bingo and Ling from ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, and Max and Deib from ‘He’s Into Her’.
Moments later, the tone shifts dramatically.
Donny’s voice is heard asking, “Hanggang saan pa kaya?” before the teaser cuts to a scene of the two inside a moving car — Donny gripping the steering wheel, Belle seated beside him.
Belle then delivers a loaded line: “Nasaan na ba tayo?”
Donny responds, “Dito pa rin,” staring ahead — a line that carries both literal and emotional weight.
Despite the intense and serious mood, kilig remains unmistakable when Belle rests her head on Donny’s arm, reminding fans why DonBelle continues to resonate.
The film is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Sampana. Many were also surprised to see in the credits that the movie’s concept was created by Donny himself.
Meanwhile, Belle Mariano recently trended online after performing her new love song ‘Like You’ for the first time on February 15.
The lyrics — “It’s hard to find someone like you, there’s no one else out there like you” — quickly fueled speculation among fans that the track may be inspired by Donny.
Social media reactions poured in, with supporters calling it a “love letter” to her on-screen partner. While Belle has not confirmed who inspired the song, excitement continues to build ahead of the release of her new album ‘Like U’ on February 20.
