On August 30, host-actor Luis Manzano considered it his obligation to help the next generation of TV hosts.
During the PIE Channel media event At the Sequoia Hotel in QC, which LionhearTV covered, Manzano highlighted how he wanted to pass what he learned to the younger generations.
“I think it’s my obligation as mas nakakatanda at mas may pinagdaanan bilang host like Robi. It’s my obligation to [make sure] that the next generation of hosts are better. Kung ano man ‘yung natutunan ko from the higher generation–older generation.”
He also recounted what he learned from his and Robi Domingo’s seniors in the Kapamilya Sunday noontime show ASAP.
“Like for example, nagpa-picture kami sa ASAP, it was ako, si Robi, Tito Martin. Tapos ‘yung caption na ginawa ko, different generations. Kumbaga kung ano ‘yung natutunan ko from them ay hopefully, I’ll do my part passing it on to Robi. And at the same time, si Robi ay gagawin niya ‘yun for the younger hosts.”
Manzano shared his views about helping the new generation reach their full potential.
“So, it’s not simply about being threatened for many reasons. I think for each and everyone of us. We are not supposed to leave this earth without trying to improve the next generation. Kahit sa pamilya natin or pwedeng the next generation of writers, [the] next generation of bloggers, I think we have an obligation with them.”
Manzano also felt excited about his upcoming PIE Channel mystery game show, ‘Tamang Hinala.’
“Kaya ako todong na-excite sa ‘Tamang Hinala,’ one it’s original. And para sa akin there’s something about going to work knowing na ‘yung ginagawa ninyong show eh gawa talaga ng mga Pinoy din. And it’s fine mix of mga Escape Rooms, di ba ‘yung ginagawa na Mystery Manila, may kaunting SOCO involved, may kaunting Imbestigador. It’s something different especially after coming from shows na franchised and I was repeating so many seasons.”
At the event, PIE Channel introduced their newest game masters, Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Eric Nicolas.
Manzano hosts the exciting mystery game show ‘Tamang Hinala,’ starting September 9. Domingo takes on the game show of the eagle-eyed viewers, ‘Watchawin,’ on September 11 at 8:15 PM, and Nicolas joins the recently launched ‘Pindot PIEnalo‘s program filled with classic perya games, ‘Mukhang Perya’ with its roster of hosts.
