On October 14, Kapamilya host Melai Cantiveros talked about her adjustments from doing morning shows to noontime shows with ‘It’s Your Lucky Day.’
In an exclusive interview with the Kapamilya host, which LionhearTV covered, Cantiveros highlighted how different it was to do a morning show from a noontime show.
“Kaya noong nag- ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ ako, may idea na ko na three hours talaga siya, na lalabas na ‘yung dila mo pero masaya kami kasi madami kami.
“So nakakapanibago from morning show to noontime show, iniintay ko na lang ang evening show.”
She also highlighted how fulfilling it was to help people through the noontime program.
“Iba ‘yung feeling na nakakapagbigay ka ng saya at serbisyo lalo na kapag naabutan mo ng blessings itong ating mga contestant, itong ating mga kwan, talagang napakasaya.
“Sobrang saya na nakakapag share kami ng blessings sa lahat ng mga contestants namin, ‘yun naman talaga. Kanina nga na-touch ako na sinabi niyang, ‘Totoo pa lang may Lucky Day.’ Kaya totoo pa lang, kapag may Lord ka may Lucky Day ka.”
She then cited her experience hosting the noontime show, ‘Happy Yipee Yehey.’
“Salamat na lang Lord na may background ako noong nakipag-noontime ako doon sa Happy Yipee Yehey, pero siyempre di niyo na maalala dahil never heard na ‘yun, charing.”
Cantiveros worked on ‘Happy Yipee Yehey’ from 2011 to 12 with Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Toni Gonzaga, Rico J Puno, and Pokwang.
Currently, she hosts the morning talk show Magandang Buhay with Jolina Magdangal and Regine Velasquez.

When asked what to expect with their 12-day run, Cantiveros hoped the audience would enjoy the noontime show as much as they did.
“Ang pasabog na aabangan nila sa amin is ‘yung araw-araw naming kulitan, actually hindi siya pasabog. Ang abangan na lang nila ‘yung aming bondingan kaming mga host basta talagang, hindi namin talagang– mae-enjoy lang talaga namin ‘yung show at sana mae-enjoy din ‘yung manonood sa amin.”
As for their noontime program, ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ temporarily takes over the noontime slot for ‘It’s Showtime’ as they serve the 12-day suspension order from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
The cast features Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Melai Cantiveros with an ensemble cast such as Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, Seth Fedelin, Negi, Long Mejia, Petite, and Divine Tetay.
‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ airs from October 14 to October 27, spanning Mondays through Saturdays, via Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV, while fans can also catch it on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
