The Kapamilya superstar TV host-comedian starred in seven blockbuster films helmed by the late director.
The Phenomenal Box Office Superstar, Vice Ganda, took the opportunity, to honor the late director, Wenn Deramas, as among one of the key personalities who helped him thrive in the field of cinema. Deramas notably helmed seven of Vice Ganda’s box office-dominating movies, including movies that became the highest grossing movies of all time.
During the September 30 of It’s Showtime, Vice seemingly made sure the madlang people know how much he regards Deramas in helping him build an incredible movie career.
“Nagpapasalamat ako, iniaalay ko ang karangalang ito sa lahat ng mga direktor na bumuo ng mga pelikula ko, lalong-lalo na sa the late, great, Wenn V. Deramas” he announced, as he relished the trophy sent to him by the FDCP over his win.
Vice paid tribute to Deramas for allowing him make a name for himself in the movie industry
“Si Direk Wenn ang gumawa ng pangalan ko sa pelikula. Si Direk Wenn ang nagpaingay ng pangalan ko sa pelikula” he said, noting the several Guillermo Mendoza Box Office awards he received because of Deramas films.
“Siya rin ang dahilan kung bakit sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nabigyan tayo ng Phenomenal Box Office Award, tapos eventually naging Phenomenal Box Office Superstar na, yung inaward sa akin ng Guillermo, ”he added. Vice won the Phenomenal Box Office star award for seven consecutive years. He sort of made a promise to never forget the legacy of Deramas.
Other than his directors, Vicre Ganda greeted his loyal fans , including the Madlang People, who have beend supporting him since his first film
“Buong pagpapakumbaba kung iniaalay ang karangalang ito sa lahat ng madlang people” he said.
Along with other local comedians, Vice Ganda was honored by the Film Development Council of the Philippines for his massive contribution to local cinema.
