On November 19, Kapuso stars Gabby Concepcion and Beauty Gonzalez highlighted the ratings success of their GMA Afternoon Prime series, ‘Stolen Life.’
At the media event for the Kapuso Mall Shows in Cebu for the Lapu-Lapu City Festival, which LionhearTV covered, Concepcion remarked that their recent 9.5 ratings in the afternoon slot was a considerable success for the new Kapuso teleserye.
“Yes, it’s out already– our last rating was 9.5– and that’s a good rating for an afternoon show.”
Gonzalez thanked their supporters, “Sobrang salamat po talaga, as in super, super.”
The Kapuso stars also discussed what made their afternoon series unique from other projects.
Concepcion attested to Gonzalez and Carla Abellana’s hardwork and talent in portraying their astral-body-switching personas in the series.
“Wala akong experience doon sa shifting na characters, pero ang nag-trabaho talaga dito ay sila Lucy at si Farrah, Beauty and si Carla. Ikaw na lang mag-explain dahil alam kong napakahirap, pinanonood ko na lang sila. Napakahirap, ako nahihirapan para sa kanila.”
Gonzalez agreed with Concepcion, noting how their director and creatives guide the two female leads in portraying their switching personas in the series.
“Kakaiba dito is the astral projection, ‘yung magpapalitan ng kaluluwa, and it’s [really] hard to do dual characters talaga, especially, kapag nate-taping kami, during the morning I’m Lucy, the nighttime I’m Farrah, I don’t know where I am at the moment, but with the guidance of our director and the script is really beautifully written.
“So, madali lang naman talaga kapag teleserye kasi alam mo na kung saan ka papunta. Ano ‘yung ending, and it’s up to you on how to expound it, and with the help of the production team, that’s why mas lalong napapaganda.”
The Kapuso series recently hit 9.5 ratings, according to AGB NIELSEN PHILS. NUTAM People in TV Homes ratings on November 15. The series then dipped to 8.5 according to November 21 listings of TV ratings.
As for their Kapuso Mall Shows, GMA Network stars Ruru Madrid, Yassi Pressman, and Matteo Guidicelli from Black Rider; Dennis Trillo and Andrea Torres from Love Before Sunrise; and Gabby Concepcion and Beauty Gonzalez from Stolen Life attended the Lapu-Lapu City Festival in Cebu from November 18 to 19, in back-to-back events to celebrate with their Kapuso fans in GMA Regional TV.
