Jona Viray officially joined Viva Artists Agency on Tuesday, November 28, as she aims to diversify her career into acting and the digital landscape.

Expressing her excitement, Jona remarked, “Iba po ‘yung pakiramdam. Parang nao-overwhelm po ako na, ‘Ah, this is really happening.’ Very thankful po ako and I’m excited sa mga gagawin ko dito sa Viva.”

With aspirations to contribute as a producer and songwriter for her music, bolster her online presence, and explore acting once more, Jona highlighted her gratitude for her 18-year career journey, which spans GMA Network, TV5, ABS-CBN, and now Viva.

Responding to queries about her ongoing association with ABS-CBN, Jona clarified, “I’m still Kapamilya pa rin po kasi may mga ginagawa pa tayong programs like ‘ASAP’ and ‘It’s Showtime.’ Kumbaga nagdagdag lang po ako ng bagong management ngayon.”

Jona’s musical journey commenced in 2005 when she emerged victorious in GMA Network’s ‘Pinoy Pop Superstar,’ showcasing her remarkable vocal range and belting prowess.

A member of the trio girl group La Diva in 2006 alongside Maricris Garcia and Aicelle Santos, Jona transitioned to ABS-CBN in 2016, marking a pivotal phase in her career. Rebranded as “Jona,” she embarked on a series of successful projects, including her platinum-selling self-titled album in 2017. Jona’s influential contributions to the Philippine music scene have rightfully earned her the title of “Soul Princess.”
