The explicit content, which made rounds on various social media platforms, purportedly depicted McCoy De Leon in a compromising situation.
However, Ogie Diaz clarified that the individual in the video was not McCoy but rather a person from Thailand. According to Ogie, McCoy’s face was digitally placed onto the body of the Thai man using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
This manipulation technique bears similarities to the technology showcased during the ‘Magpasikat 2023’ performance by Vhong Navarro, Teddy Corpuz, and Jugs Jugueta on ‘It’s Showtime.’
Expressing sympathy for McCoy, Ogie emphasized that the actor had fallen victim to the malicious use of AI. Ogie underscored the noteworthy capabilities of AI and raised concerns about its potential to manipulate images and videos, creating scandals involving individuals who have no association with the content.
