The ‘Magpasikat 2023’ spectacle on ‘It’s Showtime’ featured a captivating performance by the team led by Kim Chiu, Jhong Hilario, and Ion Perez, showcasing extreme stunts and heartfelt moments.
While many groups relied on advanced technology, this team opted for a theatrical approach, incorporating parkour dance on a wall without safety harnesses.
Ion, Kim, and Jhong displayed exceptional bravery as they executed daring maneuvers without harnesses, balancing on high walls with only iron rods for support.
Team JKI’s performance, centered around responsible cellphone use, garnered high praise from the judges, with Director Olivia Lamasan commending it as “outstanding.”
Jhong commended Ion, who, despite not being a professional dancer, seamlessly kept up with Kim and Jhong in the physically demanding routine.
Anne Curtis observed Vice Ganda, Ion’s partner, who appeared visibly nervous throughout the performance.

Expressing immense pride and emotion, Vice Ganda opened up about Ion’s daily struggle with social media criticism and harassment.
“Araw-araw kasama ko ’yan (Ion), alam ko kung gaano siya sinasaktan ng social media. Everyday he’s being judged kung ano siya… klase ng relasyon meron s’ya… Araw-araw lumalaban ’yan, araw-araw nasasaktan… Kaya araw-araw mamahalin kita! Kakampihan kita araw-araw, ipagdadasal… yayakapin kita araw-araw. Araw-araw sasamahan kita! Mahal na mahal ko ’yan! At proud na proud ako sa’yo!”
Jhong then revealed that Vice Ganda, out of concern for Ion’s well-being, prayed over him before the performance.
Ion became emotional as he shared the loss of his sibling, who served as his defender and cheerleader.
In a touching moment, Ion found solace in the arms of his beloved partner, Vice Ganda, prompting tears from the audience and viewers.
