On December 21, Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Victorio (Miss Glenda) addressed how she handled fake news during 2023.
During the Brilliant Awards 2023 at the New Port Performing Arts in Resorts World Manila, which LionhearTV attended, Miss Glenda remarked how maintaining her integrity helped her fight off fake news.
“Minsan po sa buhay natin, dadating na susubukin ka ng panahon, lalo na ang fake news ang kalaban natin. Lalo na’t nakabuwis ang buhay ko pati ng mga anak ko. Kaya salamat Lord, ilang beses mo na akong niligtas.
“At nagpapatunay na kapag wala ka talagang ginagawang masama, hindi ka niya talaga pababayaan. At sa totoo lang po, nakikita ninyo naman po ang lahat ng updates ko, kung gaano, ka busy lahat po ng ginagawa namin para kay Brilliant Skin.”
Aside from fighting off disinformation, she also shared her current health condition.
“Pero ang nakakalungkot, talagang napapabayaan ko na ang sarili ko. Last week end, na-ospital na po ako dahil sa pagbi-bleed. At ngayon ayaw na po akong pagtrabahuhin ng Lola ko po, at lahat ng nakapaligid sa akin. Pero, after two days, talagang ratsada nanaman po tayo ngayong Christmas. As in nakikipag-laban po ako na kung ano-ano ang ini-inject sa akin. Pero sabi ko lalabas ako kailangan ko pa pong tapusin ang trabaho ko.”
She also cited how she was rushed to the hospital the night before but powered through her health condition.
After that, she thanked her staff, those who supported the brand, and her family for their unwavering belief in her and Brilliant Skin.
Brilliant Awards 2023 presented the Awarding of Franchisees and Distributors for outstanding Brilliant Skin individuals for their commitment to the brand and their community.
Luis Manzano and Mariel Padilla hosted Brilliant Awards 2023 with musical performances and special appearances from KZ Tandingan, Juan Karlos, Jason Dy, Kackie Gonzales, Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, Paulo Avelino, and Alden Richards.
Aside from the festivities, Miss Glenda named their newest Chief Operating Officer (COO) Shed Garcia.
