Alden Richards, known for his multifaceted career as an actor, film director, and producer, has expressed his willingness to make time for a potential sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye,’ where he starred alongside Kathryn Bernardo.
The 2019 film stands as the highest-grossing Philippine film, surpassing P880 million in gross revenue and earning recognition through five Box Office Entertainment Awards and six PMPC Star Awards.
In an interview, Richards affirmed his readiness to adjust his schedule for a sequel, stating, “Ako po, ready naman po ako anytime. Sabi ko, ‘Direk Cathy, kapag gumawa kayo ng part two, ikaka-cancel ko muna lahat ng schedule ko.'”
While expressing enthusiasm for a potential sequel and acknowledging the film’s historic impact, Richards emphasized that the decision ultimately lies with Star Cinema, the film’s producer and rights holder.
‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ tells the story of a romantic relationship between a domestic helper (Bernardo) and a bartender (Richards), navigating challenges posed by the harsh realities of life.
In a separate interview, the 31-year-old actor made it clear that he would respect the privacy of Bernardo and Daniel Padilla amid their split and not involve himself in the matter.
Celebrating the success of ‘Five Breakups and a Romance,’ which grossed over P100 million, Richards is currently engaged in a new project. He is teaming up with Megastar Sharon Cuneta for the domestic drama ‘Family of Two,’ an entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
