In response to a viral video capturing a seemingly intimate moment with Kathryn Bernardo at Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda’s wedding, actor Donny Pangilinan clarified that the interaction was purely friendly.
During a press conference for his upcoming movie, Pangilinan emphasized that the gesture of offering a drink to Bernardo was an act of camaraderie between friends. He explained that, as good friends, they were merely enjoying each other’s company at the wedding.
“Syempre wedding ng friend namin ‘yon. We had a great time. Lahat naman kami friends sa showbiz. Binabantayan namin ang isa’t isa. Ayun lang ‘yon. I think for me it’s just having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat. Okay kami. Ginagawa namin ‘yung trabaho namin, and that’s the most important thing,” Pangilinan stated.
To dispel any misconceptions, Robi Domingo, the groom, took to social media to affirm the camaraderie among the group and urged netizens not to create unnecessary issues. He clarified that Pangilinan, along with Darren Espanto, assisted in looking after the guests as part of the groomsmen duties.
“Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please. Also, being the groomsmen, [Pangilinan] and [Darren Espanto] helped us out in taking care of all of the guests,” Domingo reassured.

Pangilinan also addressed another circulating video featuring him and Belle Mariano, assuring fans not to take everything seriously. He expressed his understanding and affection for his supporters, emphasizing that the situation was a spontaneous and unexpected moment.
