Actor Jericho Rosales and model-influencer Kim Jones have confirmed their decision to part ways after nearly 10 years of marriage.
The announcement came from their close friend and godfather, Ricco Ocampo, who revealed that the separation took place in 2019.
Despite the conclusion of their marital relationship, Rosales and Jones reportedly maintain a strong and respectful friendship. Ocampo shared a statement with ABS-CBN News, emphasizing that the decision to lead separate lives was mutual and handled with grace and maturity by both parties.
“They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties,” explained Ocampo in the statement.
Expressing gratitude for the memories and lessons shared during their time together, Rosales and Jones, according to Ocampo, still consider each other the best of friends, loving each other like family. The separation, he noted, is not rooted in animosity but rather showcases their mutual affection and respect.
Ocampo also revealed that the former couple is currently collaborating on a film project, with Jones taking on the roles of writer, director, and actor, while Rosales serves as the producer. The film is set to be released later this year. Alongside this joint creative endeavor, both individuals are pursuing individual projects, with Jones focusing on writing and filmmaking, and Rosales gearing up for the release of his latest project, ‘Sell Block.’
Speculations regarding their relationship arose last year when netizens noticed a lack of shared photos on social media. At that time, Rosales addressed the rumors, asserting his right to keep personal matters private.
The announcement of their separation came despite Rosales recently stating in an interview with ABS-CBN News that he and Jones are “happy,” emphasizing the positive aspects of his personal life. The couple had attended the ABS-CBN Ball together in October of the previous year.
Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones exchanged vows in a picturesque ceremony at a resort in Boracay in May 2014, marking the beginning of their journey together.
