On January 30, Sultan Bob Datimbang described Kampilan, The Untold Story of Kalip Pulaka‘s budget as ‘unlimited sa tamang pamamaraan.’

At the movie launch of Kampilan, The Untold Story of Kalip Pulaka, which LionhearTV covered, Datimbang revealed that their funding for the Sultanate Films International movie came from business owners, sultans, and philanthropists.

He also explained that they seek to showcase the Philippines’ history through their movie rather than box-office success.

He then cited the Darangen of the Maranao culture, which they used as a reference to tell the story of the Kampilan, The Untold Story of Kalip Pulaka.

Datimbang clarified that their movie would not be tackling any socio-political issues.

Kampilan, The Untold Story of Kalip Pulaka is currently under the script-development process, but they hope to have the film shown as an educational movie, citing the untold story of Lapu-Lapu.

Present during the launch of Kampilan, The Untold Story of Kalip Pulaka are Director Angelo Carpio, Director Cosanie Derogongan, Sultan Bob Datimbang, and Sheikh Abdul Razzaq Siddiq.
