In the latest episode of ‘Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update’ last Sunday, February 18, talent manager Ogie Diaz shared some insights regarding the status of Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino’s relationship.
Diaz relayed information he had received about the rumored split between the two actors, cautioning that it has yet to be confirmed.
“May narinig lang naman ako […] Si Paulo Avelino at si Janine Gutierrez ay—nakakaloka, sana hindi totoo—split na raw ‘yong dalawa ulit,” Diaz said during the show. “‘Yan ay sabi lang ng aking nakausap. At ‘yan ay kailangan nating marinig mula sa bunganga ng kabayo. Straight from the horse’s mouth, ‘ika nga.”
According to Diaz, he hasn’t been informed about the reason behind the alleged breakup between Paulo and Janine. “Parang ano rin ‘to, Bea-Dom. Hindi natin alam kung anong rason basta ‘yan lang ang nakarating sa atin […] Pero ‘di pa ‘yan confirmed, ha. Narinig ko lang po ‘yan.”
Rumors of their separation surfaced after Paulo and Kim Chiu’s on-screen chemistry garnered attention in a series they starred in together. This was followed by a second project under Viu and ABS-CBN, produced by Dreamscape Entertainment.
Janine previously revealed in an interview that she shared a special connection with Paulo and confirmed that he courted her.
While there were rumors of reconciliation after a period of estrangement, neither Janine nor Paulo have provided confirmation on the current status of their relationship.
