Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin has shared her views on Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, the wife of Senator Robin Padilla, regarding recent controversies.
During the recent episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na’ last Sunday, March 3, Fermin discussed various issues surrounding Mariel.
Fermin remarked, “Sutil talaga itong babaeng ito. Sa totoo lang, sutil talaga siya. Palaban naman talaga siya.”
“Ang ganda pa naman sana n’ong kaniyang imahe na isang may-bahay na gumagawa rin ng paraan para matulungan ang kaniyang asawa sa kanilang kabuhayan. Nag-aalaga ng kanilang mga anak,” Fermin added.
Fermin further commented, “Ang ganda-ganda, e. Dahil iniwasan na niya ang paglabas sa telebisyon at pelikula. Ang ganda ng image. Kaya lang nagkataon namang ganito. Samantalang ‘yong pagpapa-IV Drip pwede naman ‘yon sa ibang lugar.”
The controversy stems from Mariel’s decision to receive an IV drip in her husband’s office, which drew criticism from netizens and even prompted a response from Senator Padilla when Senator Nancy Binay announced plans to investigate the matter.
However, Mariel later clarified that she had no intention of disrespecting the Senate, and Senator Padilla publicly apologized to his fellow senators and the public for the incident.
