Kapuso actor Will Ashley pushed back against online critics targeting his height, drawing both praise and criticism from netizens after a viral gaming livestream clip surfaced on X.

In the video, Ashley addressed bashers head-on while in the middle of playing a computer game.
“Ginagawang pangkabuhayan yung pambabash ah.
The clip quickly gained traction, with many fans defending the actor against what they described as unfair criticism over something beyond his control.
The issue of height is not new for Ashley.
During a previous episode of ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ with the hashtag #pbbcollabstopbashing on April 16, 2025, he opened up about how negative comments affected him.
“Nakakaapekto sa akin before ay mga comments na, ‘May itsura, magaling sana kaso kulang sa height,’” he shared.
He admitted that he once feared his height could cost him opportunities in the entertainment industry.
“Paano kung maging isang malaking rason ‘yung height ko para mawala ako sa industrya, sa isang trabaho na talagang mahal kong gawin,” he said.
Despite the criticism, Ashley expressed hope that things would not reach that point.
I just wish the best for everyone sa ating lahat.”
Ashley, dubbed by some fans as ‘Mama’s Dreambae ng Cavite’ and ‘Nation’s Favorite Son,’ continues to build his career amid both support and scrutiny online.
