‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ lead star Coco Martin has become the subject of a humorous trend on social media, with netizens playfully suggesting that being his leading lady is a one-way ticket to heaven.

The latest trend on X (formerly Twitter) features posts showcasing photos of Coco’s past leading ladies, pointing out how their characters often meet tragic ends.

A viral post humorously noted, “Hirap maging leading lady ni Coco Martin. Biyaheng langit pagkatapos.”

The post highlighted actresses such as Bela Padilla and Yassi Pressman from ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,’ and Lovi Poe and Ivana Alawi from ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ all of whom portrayed characters that met untimely deaths.

Netizens have since added their own witty comments, with some suggesting that Julia Montes should be Coco’s final love interest in the series, though they jest it might not happen until 2030.

Talent manager Ogie Diaz addressed the trend, clarifying that Coco always consults his leading ladies on how they prefer their characters to exit the show, ensuring it is their choice.

Despite the humor, there is no denying that Coco’s chemistry with his leading ladies has significantly contributed to the success of his series.
