Former couple Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia playfully hinted at a potential ‘EXpecially for You’ reunion during their recent appearance on the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime.’
The duo, who visited the show to promote their upcoming film ‘Un/Happy for You,’ were asked by host Jhong Hilario about their feelings on working together again.
“Ano ang naging reaksiyon niyo nung muli kayong nagkita sa set?” Jhong asked.
“Happy naman. Happy kami, Lakas maka-throwback,” Julia replied.
“Masaya. Nostalgic yung feeling,” Joshua added.
Bela Padilla, another host on the show, then jokingly suggested, “Ayaw niyong mag-Expecially for You mamaya?”

The comment elicited laughter from the hosts, audience, and even Julia and Joshua themselves.
Julia and Joshua first starred together in the December 2016 film ‘Vince and Kath and James,’ marking the beginning of their onscreen partnership, which later blossomed into a real-life romance. Their relationship, which lasted from 2017 to 2019, captivated fans and left many heartbroken when they parted ways. Despite their breakup, both have mentioned in multiple interviews that they have remained friends.
In May 2019, Julia starred opposite Gerald Anderson in the film ‘Between Maybes,’ which featured her first onscreen kiss. On Valentine’s Day in 2021, Julia and Gerald appeared together in a heart-wrenching music video by Moira Dela Torre.
