Carlos Yulo, the two-time Olympic gold medalist, was taken by surprise during his visit to the ABS-CBN compound on August 27 when Coco Martin, star of the hit TV series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ made an unexpected appearance.
Yulo, who was having lunch with ABS-CBN officials, was visibly excited to meet Martin. The encounter led to a warm exchange between the two stars, with Yulo eagerly requesting a photo with Martin.
“I should be the one asking for a photo with you,” Martin told Yulo, acknowledging his recent achievements at the Paris Olympics, where Yulo won gold medals in both the floor exercise and vault. “Unang-una siyempre, nagpapasalamat ang buong Pilipinas. Sobrang proud ang lahat ng mga kababayan talaga sa lahat ng hard work. Thank you so much,” Martin added.
When asked if he would be interested in making a guest appearance on ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ Yulo expressed enthusiasm but hesitated about his acting skills. “Guesting is fine po. Pero mag-act po, hindi ko alam,” Yulo said with a laugh.

Martin indicated that Yulo could potentially make a cameo on the show if his schedule allows, suggesting a possible future collaboration between the gymnast and the popular TV series.
