Controversial Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach received an emotional surprise on the evening of September 23 when his mother, Edith Millare, unexpectedly returned to the Philippines after years of working as a nurse in the United States.
The surprise coincided with Edith’s 42nd birthday, which she chose to celebrate with her son amid his current legal struggles.
Edith’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Sandro, who is facing a personal challenge after filing a sexual abuse case against two independent contractors from GMA Network, Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruz. Her presence offered much-needed comfort and support as Sandro navigates the difficult situation.
In a video posted on Facebook, Sandro shared the touching moment when his mother surprised him. Edith is seen covering her son’s eyes before revealing herself, leaving Sandro visibly shocked and emotional upon seeing her.
Accompanying the video, Sandro expressed his heartfelt appreciation for his mother, writing, “Mama you are the strongest woman I know, and I am so lucky to have you as my mom. Your love and kindness mean more to me than you know. Thank you for being there for me during one of the hardest times in my life.”

He further added, “Your love, care, and presence meant more to me than I can ever fully express. When I felt overwhelmed by my trauma, you were a constant source of strength and comfort. I’m still finding my way, but I feel stronger knowing that I have you by my side.”
In a separate post, Sandro also extended his birthday greetings to his mother, stating, “Happy Birthday to the best mother in the world! I love you mama! Thank you for everything! Ediith Miillare Capistrano!”
