The Gateway Art Fair is back for its third and largest edition, running from September 26 to 29 at the Quantum Skyview of the New Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City.

Organized by Gateway Gallery under the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, this year’s fair boasts over 30 exhibitors and more than 1,000 artworks. With the theme “Live Your Art,” the event invites both seasoned collectors and art enthusiasts to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Filipino creativity.

This year’s exhibitors represent a plethora of solo artists, group shows, and art groups. Featured solo artists include Pinky Peralta, Gerardo Jimenez, National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, Joana Jamer, Joseph To, Maria Fatima, Willie Jamie Samson, Edison Par, Christine Sioco, and Yannie Rumbaoa. Group shows will feature the works of Aileen Yu, Tiffany Wong, Miguel Wong, Josephine Bunyi, Aidon x Sandra x Kat x Jao, and GS Art Studio, Assemblage, and Mirage.

Notable art groups such as Female Art Addicts, Vice Versa Artists Group from Batangas, Quarto Arts and Events (which will showcase three exhibits), Bastedor Art Project, FADS Art Group, and Juan & Maria’s Art Group will also be present. Aside from the maestro Ryan Cayabyab, another celebrity that will showcase his artistry is Jao Mapa.

Art schools will play a prominent role, with contributions from Atelier de Legaspi and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Fine Arts and Design, represented by studio teachers. Renowned art galleries, such as Good Days Gallery, Daloy Likha Art Gallery, and La Herencia Davao Arts Space, are also set to participate. The Quezon City Performing Arts Development Foundation Inc. will also be present with two exhibits.

The event is supported by a veritable list of sponsors and partners. Sponsors include Petron, Art Bar, Cibo, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Novotel Manila Araneta City, and Ibis Styles Manila Araneta City. Media partners are the Daily Tribune, Manila Bulletin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Philippine Star. Gateway Gallery, the event’s lead organizer, is working with the support of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, Araneta City, and Gateway Mall to ensure the event’s success.

A series of side events will also take place during the Gateway Art Fair. Held at the Bardot Room of Ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, these free artist talks and workshops run from September 27 to 28, from 1:30 to 5:00 PM. Highlights include Yannie Rumbaoa’s “The Basics of Coin Design” and Pinky Peralta’s “Art Making Based on Nature or Found Objects” on September 27, followed by Edison Par’s “Splashes of Gold” and Julius Legaspi’s “Legaspi’s Secret Sauce of Colors” on September 28.

We invite everyone to this year’s Gateway Art Fair to experience the vibrant creativity of Filipino artists. Whether you’re a collector or an enthusiast, there’s something here for you. Join us in celebrating Filipino talent and culture through art,” Diane Romero, J. Amado Araneta Foundation Executive Director said.
