Actor Geoff Eigenmann has shared his openness to working alongside former girlfriend Carla Abellana, with whom he was in a relationship for four years.
Speaking on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Eigenmann addressed the possibility of reuniting professionally with Abellana, his co-star from years ago.
“Yes, I would be open to working with Carla (Abellana) again,” Eigenmann stated. “I think now in our lives, a lot has happened to each of us separately. Maturity and growth come in and it’s all in the past. We’re professionals and we did this together for a long time before. Why can’t we do it now?”
Eigenmann and Abellana, who ended their relationship in 2014, have since moved on to new chapters in their personal lives. Eigenmann is now raising three children with his partner, Maya Flores, while Abellana married actor Tom Rodriguez in 2021, though their marriage was later dissolved in 2022.
Recounting a brief encounter six or seven years ago, Eigenmann noted that he and Abellana were cordial. “We actually haven’t seen each other. We saw each other once and that was it. Nagpansinan naman kami. This was six or seven years ago. Then we just continued on,” he said.
During the interview, Eigenmann also clarified that despite past rumors, he and Heart Evangelista were never romantically involved. “Everyone thought we (Heart Evangelista) were together but honestly, we were just really, really good friends. For me kasi, it was the start of my career when we were paired together and I was really focused on that. I focused too much on it and I was not considering it at the time,” he explained, addressing speculations from when the two starred together in an ABS-CBN series in 2004.
