Kapamilya actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi has resumed work after a harrowing health crisis related to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition that landed her in the hospital with severe symptoms.
Ivana opened up about her experience in a recent vlog, revealing the alarming complications she endured, including extreme abdominal swelling, breathing difficulties, and episodes where she felt faint and her eyes would involuntarily roll back.
“Day by day habang nasa ospital ako, umaangat nang umaangat ‘yung fluid sa tyan ko, mukha akong five months pregnant. ‘Yung sakit, hindi na ako makahinga,” Ivana shared. “Konting lakad ko lang parang hihimatayin ako, nanlalamig na ‘yung buong body ko tapos tumitirik daw ‘yung eyes kong ganun.”
Although still in recovery, Ivana confirmed her return to ABS-CBN through an Instagram story, showing her resilience.
The actress also urged her followers to seek medical attention if they experience unusual symptoms, stressing the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to prevent severe health issues.
