Jessy Mendiola is set to return to the small screen in the new ABS-CBN series ‘Nobody,’ where she will star alongside Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson.
This was confirmed on November 11 by JRB Creative Production, sparking excitement among fans anticipating her comeback.
‘Nobody’ also marks a return for Anderson, who was last seen in the 2022 Primetime Bida series ‘A Family Affair’ alongside Sam Milby and Ivana Alawi. Mendiola and Anderson previously shared the screen in the hit teleserye ‘Budoy,’ where she played Jackie, the best friend and love interest of Anderson’s character.
This project is Mendiola’s first since signing with ABS-CBN’s talent management arm, Star Magic, in July, after a four-year break from acting. Her last appearance was in the 2019 Kapamilya series ‘Sandugo.’ Mendiola is known for her leading roles in ‘Sabel,’ ‘Maria Mercedes,’ and ‘Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Paraiso,’ as well as her work in ‘You’re My Home’ and the beloved comedy show ‘Banana Sundae.’
Mendiola, who was joined by her husband Luis Manzano during her contract signing, shared that she hadn’t anticipated returning to showbiz, especially after recently welcoming their daughter, Isabella Rose.
Directed by Benedict Mique and Rae Red, ‘Nobody’ will also feature JC De Vera in the cast.
