Fans continue to speculate on the reason behind Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto’s unexpected breakup after seven years of being together.
In the latest episode of ‘Showbiz Updates’, which aired on January 5, co-host Tita Jegs shared insights about what may have led to the separation.
According to Tita Jegs, the Kapuso actor allegedly felt insecure over Barbie’s rising success.
“Nabalitaan ko lang naman. Isa raw ‘to sa dahilan, sa rason. ‘Yong naramdaman daw ni Jak Roberto ‘yong insecurity niya… na mas sikat na si Barbie [Forteza] kaysa sa kaniya,” she claimed.
Ogie Diaz, however, was quick to challenge the narrative, pointing out that both Jak and Barbie had previously shown strong support for each other’s careers.
“I don’t think so. Sinabi naman [nila] dati na supportive sila sa isa’t isa. Saka ‘yong future nila parang pinaplano na nila,” Ogie said.
He also mentioned that while their breakup seemed amicable, the public is eager to uncover hidden reasons behind the split.
“Okay naman ang breakup nila. Kaya lang ang mga netizen, makulit ‘yan. Talagang maghahanap sila ng dahilan,” he added.
The breakup became public knowledge when Barbie Forteza made the announcement via social media, catching many by surprise as 2025 began.
As of now, Jak Roberto has yet to make any official statement regarding the end of their long-term relationship.
