Kapuso actress Jillian Ward has chosen to maintain her focus on her career and personal life amid recent comments by Sofia Pablo about their alleged unresolved issues dating back to their time together on the 2019 GMA Network afternoon drama ‘Prima Donnas’.
In an interview with GMA Network, Sofia revealed that her relationship with Jillian took an unexpected turn, leading to a fallout that has persisted for years.
Sofia clarified that she and Jillian were never outright enemies but admitted that they never resolved their differences.
“Actually, lagi siyang natatanong sa ‘kin and I’ve always said na hindi kami magkaaway, hindi rin kami magkasundo or something. Pero the truth is, I say that para iwas na issue sa amin both. It’s a feud na sobrang tagal na,” Sofia explained.
She added that their bond abruptly ended during the first season of ‘Prima Donnas’.
“Nagulat na lang ako biglang hindi na. Ganu’n ‘yung nangyari sa amin. After nu’n, we never talked anymore. We’re close tapos biglang wala na. Like literal wala na, in a snap,” Sofia said.
Jillian, now starring in ‘My Ilonggo Girl’, addressed Sofia’s statements in an interview with ’24 Oras’. She denied any ongoing conflict, emphasizing her packed schedule and focus on self-reflection.
“Ako po kasi, again, I’m doing so much in my life. I don’t have time to fight with anyone. So hindi ko po alam saan nanggaling ang narrative na ‘yun or fighting,” Jillian said.
She also admitted confusion about the situation but underscored the importance of honesty and self-focus.
“I feel like what we need right now with everyone is to focus on ourselves and to be very honest with everyone around us and with ourselves,” Jillian stated.
Jillian expressed gratitude for the blessings in her life and credited her positive environment, including her ‘My Ilonggo Girl’ co-star Michael Sager, for keeping her grounded.
“I’m so happy with my blessings. I’m so happy to be surrounded with honest and very loving, loyal people,” she shared.
While fans of the two actresses were hopeful for reconciliation, both Jillian and Sofia appear focused on their respective paths. Jillian continues to charm audiences in ‘My Ilonggo Girl’, while Sofia takes on a new role in ‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’.
The Kapuso stars may not be addressing their differences anytime soon, but their dedication to their careers and personal growth remains evident. Fans are optimistic that time will eventually heal old wounds.
