Are former couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla back on speaking terms?
According to Cristy Fermin, the answer might be yes. In her recent YouTube show, Fermin revealed that a reliable source claimed the two stars have resumed communication over a year after announcing their breakup.
“Meron po kaming mga impormanteng hindi nanununog at nangunguryente na nagpaabot sa amin ng impormasyon na nag-uusap na raw po ngayon si Daniel Padilla at si Kathryn Bernardo,” Fermin shared.
However, she added that both Daniel and Kathryn have the option to deny or confirm this information.
“Ito po ay pupuwedeng i-deny ni Daniel at ni Kathryn at puwede rin naman po nilang panindigan kung totoong naganap ito,” she said.
Fermin further revealed that a close friend of Kathryn played a significant role in bridging communication between her and Daniel.
“Ang bridge, hindi po namin babanggitin ang pangalan ng best friend ni Kathryn Bernardo na malapit kay Daniel Padilla pero siya pala ang nag-uugnay sa dalawa,” Fermin explained.
The showbiz insider refrained from naming the friend, explaining that revealing their identity could lead to online harassment.
“Dudumugin siya… iba-bash siya,” she noted.
The news has sparked excitement among KathNiel fans, who have long hoped for the former couple to rekindle their romance. Since announcing their separation on November 30, 2023, both Kathryn and Daniel have remained single despite numerous rumors linking them to other potential partners.
Daniel has been fully focused on his career, currently starring in the hit action-drama series ‘Incognito’ with Richard Gutierrez. The show has maintained the number one spot on Netflix Philippines for several weeks.
Despite persistent speculations about new suitors, neither Daniel nor Kathryn has confirmed being in a new relationship. This has fueled fan hopes that they might eventually reconcile.
