The upcoming ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab’ is generating buzz among fans as ABS-CBN and GMA Network prepare for another historic collaboration.
This latest project celebrates ‘PBB’s’ 20th anniversary and will feature housemates from both Star Magic and Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Confirmed to return as hosts are ABS-CBN veterans Robi Domingo and Bianca Gonzalez. However, the two networks have yet to announce which Kapuso stars will join them on the hosting panel.
In a recent statement, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes confirmed that Robi and Bianca would continue their hosting duties for the new season.
“With having said that, maraming-maraming salamat po. I think, confirmed na tayo,” Robi responded.
“But, of course, you’ll be joined by other hosts which we will announce,” Vidanes added, teasing fans with more surprises to come.
Kapuso viewers are already buzzing with suggestions. Among the fan favorites are ‘The Clash’ hosts Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. Dingdong Dantes is also being considered by fans, though many believe his current hosting responsibilities with ‘Family Feud’ and ‘Amazing Earth’ may prevent him from taking on the role.
Other names mentioned include Alden Richards and Iya Villania, though Iya’s current pregnancy could be a factor. Adventure show hosts Drew Arellano and Mikael Daez have also come up in fan discussions, though many are rooting for a fresh face to join the ‘PBB’ family.
A strong contender among fan recommendations is Megan Young. As a former ‘PBB’ housemate and beauty queen with significant hosting experience, many believe Megan could be a perfect addition to the show’s lineup.
This marks the first time ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ will air on GMA Network, a milestone for both networks. ABS-CBN’s official statement emphasized the importance of the collaboration:
“Pinoy Big Brother marks its 20th anniversary with an exciting milestone as GMA Network and ABS-CBN collaborate for its newest season, ‘PBB Celebrity Edition Collab.’
For the first time, ‘PBB’ opens the doors of the iconic Bahay ni Kuya to welcome GMA Sparkle artists, alongside ABS-CBN’s Star Magic talents. Together, Kapuso and Kapamilya stars will collaborate and create unforgettable moments inside the PBB house.”
This is not the first time ABS-CBN and GMA have worked together. In 2023, they co-produced the successful drama series ‘Unbreak My Heart’, starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshua Garcia, Richard Yap, and Gabbi Garcia. The networks also collaborated on ‘It’s Showtime’, which now airs on GMA Network and formerly on GTV.
With excitement building, fans eagerly await the official announcement of the Kapuso co-hosts who will join Robi and Bianca in what promises to be a memorable ‘PBB’ season.
