After a tense confrontation that drew attention from viewers, ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemates Dustin Yu and Klarisse De Guzman have finally patched things up.
The two clashed during their weekly task, where housemates were prohibited from speaking to each other. Klarisse, serving as task leader, had asked fellow housemate Bianca de Vera to keep distance from Dustin, which the latter took personally. He later revealed that, as a middle child, he often feels unfairly blamed, which may have triggered his emotional reaction.
During the confrontation, Dustin calmly explained his side, saying he followed the rules and felt singled out. He also asked Klarisse to be more mindful of her words in front of others.
“Siguro make sure lang natin na pag magbibitaw tayo ng salita, maramdaman din natin ‘yung bawat isa,” Dustin told Klarisse.
Klarisse, clearly emotional, didn’t initially understand why Dustin appeared more affected than Bianca, whom she had actually confronted.
“Si Bianca nga nakausap ko, ‘di ko gets ba’t ikaw pa ‘yung mas galit. OA!” Klarisse exclaimed.
The housemates later gave the two privacy to settle the issue, where Dustin apologized sincerely: “Ate Klang, maniwala ka sa ‘kin, pasensya na… Promise ate Klang, pasensya. As in hindi ko sinasadya na magka-misunderstanding tayo,” he said.
Klarisse, moved to tears, eventually accepted the apology.
“Pasensya na din,” she replied, after suggesting they talk more later when emotions had settled.
The moment of reconciliation came just before Kuya announced that the house had failed their weekly task due to 21 recorded violations.
Later, Klarisse addressed the group and offered another round of apologies.
“Sorry kung may mga nasaktan… sorry Bianca, sorry Dustin… hindi ‘yun ‘yung intensyon ko. Thank you pala sa lahat ng effort, guys. Alam kong sobrang nagsacrifice din kayo,” she said.
The resolution followed a timely visit from houseguests BINI members Stacey and Jhoanna, who shared personal experiences of online bashing and highlighted the importance of staying true to oneself.
