Kris Aquino has taken to Instagram to offer an emotional and heartfelt clarification and apology following her earlier statements regarding her relationship with ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan.

In her latest post on April 2, the Queen of All Media admitted that her initial comments about their breakup were written from a place of pain. “My last post was written by a still angry ex-girlfriend who had felt, that even for her health care, she was unimportant and not a priority,” she began.
Aquino acknowledged that while she initially paid for Dr. Padlan’s services as her travel doctor in May 2022, she failed to mention his efforts beyond that professional engagement. She shared that he flew to Los Angeles multiple times on his own volition to check on her health—visits that were not requested, and even paid out of his own pocket.
“Doc Mike, I apologize for not stating this in my earlier post,” she wrote.
Kris also recalled how their friendship began around late April 2024 and blossomed into a relationship, albeit a unique one built largely through long-distance communication via WhatsApp. “For the first time in years, seeing a man, a doctor watching over me, I felt safe,” she shared.
One of her favorite memories, Kris said, was when Dr. Mike cooked her bulalo and watched her prepare Filipino-style spaghetti. “Tama ang balita, masarap nga ang spaghetti by Kris Aquino,” she quoted him saying.
She expressed deep regret for hurting two children she had grown close to—whom she called “Pokemon” and “Lego”—apologizing for any sadness her previous post may have caused. “I know I am no longer deserving to be your Mama Kris… but even if I had known things would end up this way… I would still have chosen to give loving one more attempt,” she said.
Kris candidly admitted that her hopes for a “happily ever after” may have been unrealistic. As her autoimmune diseases progressed, she said, Dr. Padlan began to retreat. “After a very stressful time when we returned home, I forgave and I fought hard for our relationship, while he couldn’t forget and gave up on us,” she shared. “Nobody should be blamed, I’m not ashamed to admit, I was the one who loved and needed more.”

Aquino also addressed comments made by Dr. Mike’s son, Miguel Padlan, who previously defended his father in a public Facebook post. While Kris maintained her version of events, she showed restraint in her response, saying: “Freedom of speech should be upheld in a true democracy… I did promise to be Mama Kris come what may.”
Currently battling nine autoimmune conditions, Kris continues to share updates on her health and personal life with openness and vulnerability. Her latest post reveals not just a clarification of past events, but a continued journey toward healing, forgiveness, and emotional honesty.
She ended her post with gratitude for those who continue to support her and her family, using the hashtag #tuloyanglaban.
