The upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 entry ‘Love You So Bad’ is already serving major kilig ahead of its December 25 premiere—thanks to the playful onscreen rivalry between its young stars Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, and Bianca De Vera.
During the movie’s media conference, the two male leads amused the press and fans with their spontaneous “fill-in-the-blank” answers, as if they were truly fighting for Bianca’s heart both in character and in fun.
When asked to finish the prompt “Piliin mo ako, kasi…”, Will confidently declared, “Piliin mo ako kasi, I let you experience the world, with my love, buong puso! Period!”
Dustin countered with a more heartfelt line, saying, “Piliin mo ako kasi, mamahalin kita kahit na sino ka man…”
Their banter thrilled fans inside the Dolphy Theatre, many of whom screamed as though witnessing a real love triangle unfold offscreen.
Bianca gamely joined the fun when asked to complete the prompt “Love you…”—throwing back equally charming lines to her leading men. To Dustin, she said, “Love you my savior!” and to Will, she quipped, “Love you Mr. Sungit!”
Director Mae Cruz Alviar shared that the film revolves around three young people entangled in an emotional, intense love triangle—an element clearly mirrored in the trio’s undeniable chemistry during the press event.
In character, the boys were also asked what their roles would tell Savannah, Bianca’s character. Dustin, as LA, responded, “Love you forever!” while Will, as Vic, charmed fans with, “Love you to the moon and back!”
The mediacon also touched on a deeper discussion—what love truly means.
For Will, love requires full devotion.
“Love is to commit talaga eh. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung the best. You give your one hundred percent without expecting anything,” he said.
Dustin echoed the idea, adding that love is something one must consciously choose.
“For me, love is a commitment. Love is everywhere… pag naramdaman mo ‘yung love, kailangan mong magiging committed… talagang kailangan mo talaga pag-isipan bago ka magmahal,” he explained.
Bianca described love as something boundless.
“I feel like love is unconditional… with me, I can’t say, I can’t pinpoint it. Ang alam ko lang is that mahal kita. Walang specific reason. Walang expectations. I just love you,” she said.
The trio—Bianca, Will, and Dustin—were all former housemates in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0’, where they formed popular fan pairings such as WillCa and DustBia. Their natural rapport has now translated into their biggest movie break yet.
‘Love You So Bad,’ starring Will Ashley as Vic, Dustin Yu as LA, and Bianca De Vera as Savannah, will premiere in cinemas on December 25. The film also features Dimples Romana, Xyriel Manabat, Ralph De Leon, Reign Parani, Zach Castaneda, and Nour Hooshmand.
