Kapuso primetime action hero Ruru Madrid is overwhelmed with gratitude as ‘Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila’ continues to gain strong viewership, recently hitting double-digit ratings.

In a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ruru expressed his appreciation for the audience’s unwavering support.
“To God be the glory. ” he wrote.

Earlier this month, Ruru sustained a leg injury while filming an intense action scene for the series, prompting an emergency trip to the hospital. He later revealed that he underwent an MRI and was awaiting full results.
Now, in an update posted on his official Facebook page, Ruru shared some good news: “Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagmamahal at pag-aalala. To God be the glory! Magbabalik po ako nang mas mabilis! ♥️”
According to medical sources, a Grade 1 strain involves slight tearing of muscle fibers, while a Grade 2 strain indicates more significant damage, typically affecting up to half of the muscle fibers. Fortunately, Ruru’s injury does not require long-term rest and is expected to heal within a few weeks.
Meanwhile, fans can continue to watch ‘Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila’ airing weeknights at 8:00 p.m. on GMA Prime, with a delayed telecast on GTV at 9:40 p.m. and online streaming via Kapuso Stream.
