Actress-turned-politician Angelika dela Cruz has revealed she received a new death threat, this time accompanied by three bullets and a handwritten note warning her to withdraw from the vice mayoral race in Malabon.

On Friday, May 9, Dela Cruz took to Facebook to post a photo showing the alarming package, which contained three bullets and a chilling message that read:
“Angelika Dela Cruz, mapagpalang araw sa ’yo! Umatras ka na sa laban ng Vice Mayor ng Malabon!! Kung hindi, alam mo ang kahihinatnan mo at ng pamilya mo!!”
Reacting to the threat, Dela Cruz wrote in the caption: “Siniraan, kinasuhan, ngayon naman tinatakot. Anong kasunod?! Grabe na pati family ko dinadamay ninyo.”
The sitting barangay chair of Longos, Malabon, Dela Cruz is no stranger to political controversy. She currently faces plunder charges filed with the Office of the Ombudsman, involving at least ₱70 million in alleged misuse of barangay funds. She is also dealing with an administrative case for neglect of duties and for allegedly passing on her responsibilities to her brother, Kagawad Erick Dela Cruz, without official authorization.
Despite the threats and legal challenges, the actress has previously maintained that these issues are part of “dirty political tactics.” In a past post, she stated: “Grabe talaga ang politics. ’Pag hindi nila nakuha ang gusto nila sa siraan, next step kakasuhan ka naman nila. Hay. Baka sa susunod niyan ipapatay niyo ako ah.”
Dela Cruz had also received similar death threats back in 2022 during a previous election cycle, with bullets enclosed in the package.
Concerned netizens flooded her post with messages of support, calling for her safety, condemning the intimidation, and urging authorities to take action.
