Veteran showbiz columnist and TV host Cristy Fermin has expressed her concern and emotional reaction over a recent vlog by Vice Ganda, where the comedian candidly confronted close friend and fellow comedian MC Muah about certain behaviors during a group vacation in Palawan.

In the vlog uploaded on Vice’s YouTube channel, the ‘It’s Showtime’ host openly addressed what he described as MC’s inconsiderate actions—particularly his habit of making others wait during group activities. Vice aired his sentiments directly, saying: “Kapag kayo may rampa kayong grupo, ano mararamdaman n’yo kung ‘yung kasama n’yo papasok sa kwarto tapos lalabas kung kailan niya lang bet… ‘Di ba nakakabwisit?”
He continued, explaining that he chose to spend time with his group of friends during the vacation, but was disappointed by MC’s repeated behavior.
On her Cristy Ferminute show aired Monday, May 26, Fermin reacted strongly to the vlog, saying she was deeply affected by the way Vice addressed MC in public, especially after seeing MC cry on camera.
Cristy added that MC’s emotional breakdown—seen in the vlog—appeared genuine and unscripted.
According to Fermin, MC chose to remain silent during the confrontation, likely out of respect and loyalty to Vice, whom she described as someone influential to MC’s career.
She also pointed out that MC likely weighed the importance of their professional relationship, knowing that going against Vice might affect opportunities not just for himself, but for his family as well.
Cristy emphasized her belief that the confrontation should have happened privately, not on a public vlog. She questioned the need to address such personal and emotional matters in a platform intended for content creation.
While Fermin voiced her sympathy toward MC Muah, public opinion seems more divided. Based on comments monitored by LionhearTV, many netizens praised Vice Ganda for being straightforward and honest, describing the moment as “tough love” rather than public shaming.
Some viewers commended Vice for confronting MC face-to-face instead of talking behind his back, saying it was a reflection of real friendship.
Despite the emotional tension captured in the video, Vice and MC have not shown signs of any fallout—both continue to appear together on ‘It’s Showtime,’ with no official statement released by either party following the vlog’s airing.
Cristy Fermin concluded her remarks with hope that the two comedians can mend whatever wounds may have been caused.
