Actress and content creator Ivana Alawi has joined the chorus of public figures urging voters to make informed decisions in the upcoming May 12 midterm elections.
In her latest vlog titled “Prank sa palengke. Pag tumulong ka x1000 ang balik”, Ivana visited public market vendors, giving out financial assistance and engaging with locals. The experience left her with sobering insights about the current cost of living.
Seeing firsthand the struggles of vendors and fisherfolk, Ivana was moved to emphasize the need for real change and responsible voting.
With Election Day just around the corner, Ivana gave this timely reminder to her viewers:
Mag-isip tayo bago tayo bumoto.”
She also made it clear that popularity should never be the sole reason to support a candidate.
“Again, sa lahat, lagi kong nire-remind, from senators to mayors to congressmen, huwag tayong boboto dahil sikat. Dapat ‘yung mayroong gagawin talaga sa bansa natin. Hindi ako tumatakbo as politiko, sumusuporta lang ako,” Ivana emphasized.
Ivana’s message comes amid a broader call from artists and public personalities encouraging responsible civic participation.
