Speculation is brewing online over the nature of the relationship between actress Kim Rodriguez and Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando after a viral photo of the two sparked rumors of a possible romance.
The photo in question shows Governor Fernando with his arm around Kim, who was holding a bouquet of flowers, while standing in front of a yellow luxury car adorned with a large ribbon—leading netizens to speculate whether it was a gift.
The image quickly made rounds online, with many commenting on the possible connection between the 30-year-old actress and the 63-year-old politician-actor. Critics and bashers flooded Kim’s TikTok account with pointed remarks, to which she responded with a mix of humor and sarcasm.
One user commented, “Fresh naman. Iba talaga alagang Gov. Daniel,” to which Kim replied,
“Taray ng username mo @alwaysbekindtoothers.”
Another user wrote, “Dedma sa basher basta may Daniel Fernando,” and Kim simply responded with: “Pikit .”
On May 23, Kim posted a TikTok video lip-syncing to Leona Lewis’ ‘Bleeding Love’, featuring the lyrics: “I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you; they try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth.”
She captioned the video with a telling “idc,” short for I don’t care.

The post fueled even more speculation, especially as other users accused Kim of benefitting from public funds, with one saying: “Musta naman ang budget namin dito sa Bulacan, sis? Para sa daan na budget napunta sayo pambili ng FJ.”
Another added: “Sayo pala napupunta kaban ng bayan, Ma’am?”
While Kim did not address the accusations directly, she remained active in the comments section, engaging both critics and supporters.
Some netizens came to her defense, saying there was nothing wrong with the possibility of a relationship between the two, as Governor Fernando is reportedly single.
“Single naman pala yung Daniel Fernando, hayaan na natin sila maging masaya,” one wrote. “Why not? Daniel is single naman,” another echoed.
As of this writing, neither Kim Rodriguez nor Governor Daniel Fernando has issued an official statement confirming or denying the dating rumors.
This is not the first time Kim has been romantically linked to a public figure. In March 2024, she was rumored to be dating former PBA player Marc Pingris after fans noticed similar backgrounds in photos they had separately posted online. Both parties denied the rumors.
Governor Fernando, a former actor, has served as Bulacan’s governor since 2019. There are no confirmed reports of him ever being married.
