In an emotional Instagram post reflecting on his journey through the action-packed series, Ruru shared, “Walong buwan ng buhay ko ang binuhos ko rito. Hindi naging madali. May mga sugat, pagod, at pagkakataong muntik na sumuko.” Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude for the growth and resilience the role gave him: “Mas tumibay ang loob ko. Mas lumalim ang pagmamahal ko sa ginagawa ko.”
The Kapuso actor emphasized that Lolong taught him it’s not just about the ending, but the daily process of choosing to fight, stay strong, and believe. “It was a good run. And now, I’m walking into what’s next—wiser, stronger, and hungrier than ever,” he said. He ended his post with a powerful tease: “Magbabalik ako—dahil ’di pa nagtatapos ang aking laban.”
This final line sparked speculation among fans that a continuation or spin-off may be in the works.

‘Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila’ closed its second season with a dramatic mix of sacrifice and redemption. The finale saw Donatella (Jean Garcia) tragically kill her own son Ivan (Martin Del Rosario), leading to her breakdown and institutionalization.
