The early 2000s’ iconic Viva Hot Babes lit up Marikina anew as they reunited for the grand opening of Aura Wellness & Spa, founded by former member Ella Villanueva-Manalang, also known as Ella V.
The media launch, held on July 19, 2025, at Pinnacle Plaza along Marikina-Infanta Highway, became both a business debut and a nostalgic homecoming.

Joining Ella in this rare reunion were fellow Hot Babes Maui Taylor, Katya Santos, Andrea del Rosario, Sheree Bautista, Jaycee Parker, Diana Zubiri, and Zara Lopez. The girls even surprised the crowd with a playful performance of their iconic hit ‘Bulaklak,’ delighting fans and media alike.
“Totoo ba ‘to? Ang hirap nila hagilapin,” Ella said emotionally. “But I believe everything happens for a reason—step by step.”
Now based in the U.S. for over 17 years, Ella returned home to launch her newest venture with her sister, Paula Villanueva, who serves as co-owner and CEO of Aura. The spa reflects Ella’s philosophy of beauty, healing, and empowerment.

Aura Wellness & Spa sets itself apart by offering non-invasive, holistic treatments—from buccal and neo-lifting massages to facials, eyelash extensions, eyebrow shaping, and nail services. Ella describes the space as a “cave,” an intimate haven with seven treatment rooms designed for peace, rejuvenation, and personalized care.
“This place may look expensive, but the treatments are very affordable,” she shared. “We want everybody to feel welcome.”

Aura is also the exclusive distributor of Esthemax Professional in the region, with standout offerings like the Hydrojelly facial, and a signature “spa in a bottle” warm serum candle made of organic oils like babassu, jojoba, and sunflower. Currently undergoing FDA approval, the product is manufactured in the U.S. and repacked in the Philippines.
“We want to give back to the community by investing in labor, not machines. It’s about empowering women with skills and jobs,” Ella emphasized.
Ella and Paula’s collaboration marks their biggest project together. They plan to expand Aura via franchise and open an esthetician academy in the future. The spa’s staff—including massage therapists and facial specialists—are personally trained and educated in techniques certified in Singapore.
“Our mission is to deliver unparalleled services that nurture the mind, body, and spirit,” said Ella. “Each visit is a journey toward total wellness.”
After the launch, Ella returned to the U.S. to manage her weight loss clinic and VGlow beauty line, leaving the spa in the capable hands of her sister Paula. Back in California, she’s a hands-on mom to her four children and continues to run her home care business for seniors.
Despite the years, the Viva Hot Babes proved they’ve only grown more confident and radiant with time.
“Love yourself. Always just be happy,” Maui Taylor advised.
“Beauty is the best revenge—mas lalo kaming gumaganda,” Andrea del Rosario added with a laugh.
And when asked if a full-blown stage comeback was in the cards?
“Ipro-produce ni Ella V! Boss Vic, this is your sign!” Sheree quipped.
From sultry sirens to empowered women redefining beauty and wellness, the Hot Babes’ story continues—and so does Ella’s journey. Through Aura, she’s offering more than skincare and spa days; she’s inspiring a movement of self-worth, healing, and sisterhood.
Aura Wellness & Spa is open daily from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM at Pinnacle Plaza, Marikina-Infanta Highway, near Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall. For appointments, call 0917-183-4142. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
